How You Can Support the Beechwood Educational Foundation

The Beechwood Educational Foundation (BEF) is a 501(c)3 not for profit foundation with Federal ID No. 35-1521887. Based on current income tax laws, all donations to the BEF are tax-deductible during the calendar year the donation is made. You should consult your individual tax advisor on all such matters.

There are various ways you can support the BEF:

Wills and Trusts. Remember to name BEF in your final wills and trusts. This is a great way to support BEF. You may contact the BEF if you need assistance with this process.

Appreciated stock or securities. Appreciated stock or securities can be electronically transferred to the BEF’s brokerage firm. You may contact the BEF if you need assistance with this process. The BEF will provide you with a letter acknowledging receipt of the stock or securities.

Direct transfer from an IRA or Roth account. Given the federal high “standard deduction limits,” Zeta FIJIs who are retired and have non-Roth IRA accounts may want to consider making a direct electronic transfer to BEF. This generally allows the donor to avoid tax on the normal distribution of these funds, which indirectly provides you the same tax benefit as a charitable contribution deduction. Please contact BEF if you have further questions on this.

Grants from a Donor Advised Charitable Funds (DAF) account. BEF is eligible to receive contributions (“grants”) from your Donor Advised Charitable Funds (DAF) and such grants can be sent to the address listed (reference the Indianapolis mailing address as you deem appropriate). The Federal ID number for BEF is 35-1521887, as this number may be needed when requesting these grants from your Donor Advised Fund to BEF.
